jubs that sucks! I hate group things because I always worry that I am the 'slacker', but then I like everything done my way. We don't have group assignments, just group presentations. Which are assessments. So I suppose they are kinda assignments. I'm trying to be more forceful this semester though, so I can do presentations on the good, fun, interesting topics. Someone else wanted to do the one that I wanted to do yesterday and I said "well I wanted to do it" and so the group let me. I have yet to meet one hot guy in my bedroom in all the time i've been living here! There's none that hang around in my bedroom either. I don't mind presentations because I did two of mine in the last week [when half the class didn't show up ] or in front of a small group. The ones in my course aren't really scary, except for when the tutor is staring at you and making you feel like an idiot. m&h you might get a different assessment to do instead of a presentation if you're an external student. I don't know, it might depend on the course. Some don't have presentations. My brother studied part time/externally for a while but he had to go into uni sometimes.

A different course could be a good idea. Unless you did that course and were way better at it than him. What courses do you want to do? [You don't seem horribly boring, so I'm guessing it's not science/business/commerce-y. ]

I hate doing presentations in 300/400 level units it shits me big time because there's always an OPJ who asks a stupid pseudo intelligent questions just to hear themselves talk. This semester I only have one group presentation but it's only for infront of 6 people so i don't mind

Not in that order. If i do an Arts degree i have no idea what i'll major in. Probably international studies. I'm going to apply for professional writing and editing anyway.

M&H my genius BFF is doing Law with international studies she got to go overseas (travel expenses paid) this year! She went to Sweden and now shes in London it's a cool degree. Except she does have to be away from me for a year which would suck I imagine I sat in on a few of her first year subjects and it was an excellent very human geography ed it. If you do arts it's cool for the first year you can do whatever and then make-up your mind afterwards, even in second year you can change your mind. I found politics to be full of OPJ's I did one unit and couldn't stand it. jubs i wish they were asking stupid questions but they ask questions like in the reading paragraph blah blah smith suggests blah blah which is in someway remotely related to your presentation. Then proceed to answer their own question and say mean things like didn't you do the reading blah blah and i'm like I did the reading jackass it's got nothing to do with MY topic Yes if they were Logan OPJ's on the other hand

Aww mid the travel's worth it for the right uni but i feel your pain i was doing the same until we moved house. A girl I went to school with did criminology she's finished now and does what she reckons is boring collecting samples etc. (but i think you have to start somewhere) a friend of mine went to Belgium a few years ago she hated it because of the language barrier shes in France this year. My BFF in Sweden said everyone speaks pretty good english to her surprise so she's picked up little of the language.

Travel sucks. Although there was a dog on the train today. You do have to start somewhere. Starting at the top would be nice though. Belgium sounds cool. I really, really want to go to France but don't know French and even if I did they probably wouldn't understand me anyway! I know most people there know English and all, but...that's cheating. I want to go to Sweden. I hear it's expensive there though.

She was bored out of her brains in Sweden she begged to be transfered to London! The didn't have any TV, the clubs were for 22 and over, the bottleshops closed at 2pm, so you don't spend money on much her uni paid for the travel but she had to pay for everything else. I think Accom wise was reasonable she was with several other exchange students in a typical uni share house situation. Was the dog on it's own? Maybe he/she was visiting someone I'm scared of France, i think they generally speaking get offended if you don't speak french. I wish i spoke another language!

Awww. Sounds like it's not my kind of place. Yeah it was on its own. Someone took it to the station people when I got off. Yeah my brother went to France and he said that the only time people would speak English to him was when he got out his credit card. I wish I spoke another language too. I did 2 years of Indonesian, but I don't want to go to Indonesia, and I've forgotten most of it anyway.

I have enough trouble remembering English. I'm lucky this semester, I only had to buy 3 readers and that was $45. [We don't have textbooks, thankfully. There's a few 'recommended' books but I'm too stingy to buy them. ] Skinny jeans guy is in my class again! Today his pants were slightly less tight-looking. Thank goodness. Although I think he was wearing the same shirt as yesterday! Everyone knows that you should leave a day between wearing the same thing so people don't think that you don't bathe, right?

I hate asking parents for stuff m&h. Although there are bad points to loans too. Stupid books and their stupid money-costing. I know jubs! It's a convict-looking shirt too. Now when I look at him I'm going to think 'convicty no-washy tight-pants'.
