I don't mind it. I've never really watched much sci-fi stuff, I don't think. But I don't mind fantasy-type things [Alias ]...

I think it was pretty good, it is kinda fantasy-ish The writing is fantastic, it was a clever show, very funny, and a lot of the cast is worthy IMO anyway. You don't have to be fully into sci-fi to get it, it more of a setting for the show you could take the idea and change the setting it'd still be a good show (not as good but still good). Hope you like it

Alan Tudyk's in it - of course it's good! Actually that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense now does it BC? Still, Alan Tudyk = I want to see it now!!!

Oh that's good nyla. I like good writing, so the setting isn't always that important as long as it's not a crappy show. After I get Firefly I'm going to get Freaks & Geeks BC. [Provided that my connection doesn't get slowed down too early. ]

Freaks & Geeks is the best show in the entire universe. I kid you not. VM is second only to F&G.

Excellent! Then I might get Kristen's episodes of Deadwood. Just because I like to collect shows that my favourite actors do.

Kristen is amazing in Deadwood. She's so completely different to VM though, and I have to tell you that it will probably be a little violent for you. It's by no means the most violent thing I've seen, just...traumatising. So you have been warned.

I was expecting sweartasticness, so I suppose I'll have to add violence to the list! I am not too shocked by the TV violence that I've seen [but I haven't seen cable shows ] but I don't like real violence.

Yeah, it's definitely sweartastic, but you get used to that pretty quickly. The novelty wears off after a short while. Cable shows can be extremely violent. There seems to be no limit on how far that can go. Oz, for example. TV violence usually doesn't bother me because I know it's not real. If something is particularly gory I compliment the makeup artists, and while the people I'm watching with are squirming in their seats, I'm saying "I wish I could do makeup like that". I hate real life violence of any kind. It upsets me. The amount of times I've bawled my eyes out watching the news is immeasurable.

But the novelty of swearing doesn't wear off for the characters? I'm fascinated and grossed out at the same time by their lack of standards. Yeah making an effort to pick out details of the unreality of stuff helps me. When you watch something really awful you just have to say/think "that part there looks so fake, as if it would really happen that way" and then it seems better. Make up for things like that would be an awesome job. I love [and hate!] Lilly's head wound. It's always worse when it's real.

Apparently not. It is a little gratuitous, but it makes the show what it is. Me too! Oz is great drama though, and the naked men are a bonus. Yep, breaking things down to their most basic form always helps. Lilly's head wound fascinates me. They made it look so real and wet and oozy. It is.

It's like a character? I don't know if I could watch Oz. Maybe when I'm older and wiser? It looks fresh! Amanda probably spent hours in make up for 10 minutes of shooting. I'm watching Wonderfalls now. I got the first episode. It's quirky. I like it. TV!

A little, yeah. Oz isn't for everyone. I just got so caught up in the fates of certain characters that I couldn't stop watching. It's pretty addictive. And naked Chris Meloni always perks things up so to speak. Yeah, I wonder how long something like that does take to do? Must be a while... Hee! Wonderfalls is so funny. I love the lead actress in it - her voice and snarkiness crack me up. What do you think of the bartender? When TV is great, it's great.

Addictive is both good and bad. It might not take so long after you'd done it a few times, but I'd imagine that first deciding exactly how to get that effect would take a while. It's not like she could just stick a mask on and be done with it. The bartender is very I ed the episode though. The humour/snark was fantastic. I'm trying to get the next one but of course it's going terribly slowly. Everything on edonkey seems to take me weeks to get. I have 20mb of SVU. Very true. But when TV isn't great it can be very horrible.

Addictive is good when it comes to TV. Yeah, I'd love to learn how to do that makeup. When I'm well enough maybe I'll take a course - then I can make my own low budget horror film and take it to the Cannes FF!!! [I've thought about that WAY too much ] He is a cutie isn't he? He really grows on you too. There's just something about him... It's certainly snarktastic - just like Dead Like Me, only DLM is a cable show so they can swear. That sucks. I think it all depends on availability. I'm sure not many people would have that SVU ep, unlike the most recent episodes. The newest Six Feet Under ep downloaded for me in about 3 hours. When TV is bad, it is very very bad.

I suppose it is. That would be awesome. I want to be in the movie! I actually would like to direct something. Unfortunately I have no idea about directing. I don't mind if he grows on me. I have DLM on my 'must get' list too. It does depend on availability. I hate when it doesn't tell you how many seeders there is. A lot of the time I'm stuck waiting in the queue to get stuff That's why I prefer BitTorrent. But BT has no links for the stuff I want. But that's why I'm getting the whole season of Firefly - that way when it's done it's done, and they're all there and I don't have to go searching. Yes.

Oooh you could be in my movie - I'd let you die in a really good way too. Promise. I would LOVE to direct. I'm a very visual person so film really appeals to me. Cinematography has always fascinated me. Oh he will. Yeah DLM is a great concept, unfortunately they lost the plot a little as it went along. They sort of wrote themselves into a corner a bit which is a shame. The snark is great though and there's a super cute guy in it too. I've had things queued for weeks. You just have to be patient, and don't forget to prioritise them if you want certain episodes first. BT is the best for most recent things. It also doesn't take up a huge amount of space like eDonkey does.

Excellent. I'm thinking about taking some of the media production classes that they have at uni. But then since we're graded I'm kinda too afraid in case I screw up. Same with a TV writing one - it'd be my dream but I just don't have the talent. Awww I hate it when they write themselves in. But at least you can still appreciate the pretty and the snark. I have SVU prioritised and Wonderfalls not and Wonderfalls is downloading consistently [slow...] and SVU hasn't moved. I don't mind waiting a while though, it's not like I'm desperate. Yeah, and now that all the BT sites are shutting down it's becoming harder to find places where lots of people download from.
