Other casting: spoilers belowVeronica will get an African-American friend - Wallace's new girlfriend, I suspect -- to hang out with (actor Jeffrey Sams, from Thomas' "Cupid" will play her father). Recurring characters Beaver and Dick Casablancas will be regulars this season with Charisma Carpenter ("Angel") added to the cast for a half-dozen episodes as their young, witchy step-mother. Any other guest stars, besides Steve Guttenberg as a mayoral candidate?Naima, the winner of the fourth "America's Next Top Model," will be in the season premiere. Also: In addition, for more crossover appeal, the winner of an upcoming challenge on "Top Model" will get to spend a day with the guys from the "Veronica Mars" castI'm jealous!

Sweet - Jeffrey Sams is awesome! Hmmm looks like they're really desperate to get those ANTM watchers interested. I hope it's a move that works out for them... See - I told you ANTM was worth watching! We'll be able to see our lovely VM boys in their RL mode. But I'm not jealous.

I don't know him, but I'll take your word for it. I think that if that doesn't work out the VM cast and crew will have to curl up and die. ANTM gets a ton of viewers though, right? I might have to download it.

He was good in Cupid. That's all I know him from though. If RT likes him he must be pretty great. I don't want the VM cast to die! I don't think anything on UPN gets a TON of viewers, but I think it rates fairly well, yeah. I'm SO downloading it! Mmmm real life Teddy and Jason...as long as Teddy's hair is back to normal and Jason doesn't try any creepy $cientology talk.

Yes, I trust RT. Not literally die. I'd be sad forever! Well compared to VM it would get a ton of viewers. Yeah. I hope JD wouldn't try to convert anyone on national TV.

Me too! I'd be sad forever if they died metaphorically. I suppose it would. Nearly every article I've read about VM has said it's a 'popular show' though...maybe it has more fans than we think? I know it has a massive internet following, but in the real world I have no idea. All I know is that it SHOULD be a worldwide hit. I doubt JD's *that* stupid.

Well, so would I, but... In the real world I don't think it's very popular. Articles have a tendency to exaggerate. It should be the best rated show in the history of TV! But then a majority of VM fans seem to be intelligent and all, and I can't say that about a majority of the population... I'm still hoping that the $cientology is just a front.

Yeah, considering the vast majority of the population enjoy mindless reality shows or scripted tv of the lowest order, I have little hope for VM and it's peers. It's why many of the best shows have only had 1 season. I thought things were starting to get better - especially with the renewal of AD for a third season, but I still worry about the fate of our beautiful show. A $cientology front? If you were a $cientologist [even just from birth] would you advertise it? I know I wouldn't. Most Hollywood $cientologists don't seem to advertise their so-called 'religion' all that often. Tom Cruise doesn't count - the man is batshit crazy. I don't care anyway - I still like JD as an actor.

I agree. It's not quite at Kabalah [how the hell do you spell it?!] levels yet, but Crazy Cruisey is trying to make it like that. I know that some other $cientologists who are actors are quite open about it too. JD is a great actor.

Which other actors are open about it? I know that Crazy!Jenna Elfman is, but where is she nowadays? I know half the That 70's Show cast are, and I'm pretty sure Beck is a $cientologist too which upsets me. So that means that Marissa Ribisi must be one [because I think they're married] which probably means that Giovanni Ribisi is as well [because they're brother and sister] which may mean that his little group of Hollywood friends are too...wow - it just snowballs doesn't it? Stupid Tom Cruise and his stupid religion. Go JD! *Me and my stupid grammar. PS: I think Kabbalah is spelt 'Kabbalah'.

There's also John Travolta and Kirsty Alley. But OMFG what a long list you had there. It really is cult-like. Kabbalah. I had it as that but then doubted my spelling.

$cientology spreads like The Black Death. Ugh - I forgot about Travolta and KA. Meh, I don't care about Kabbalah enough to give a shit how it's spelt.

It does! I don't care about it either. I just hate spelling things wrong.
