Does anyone else this show? I'm watching the first episode of season 3 now. I hope Seven put it back on soon so that I don't have to try to get the rest, because I don't have enough space. It's set in the 60s and is about a high school girl who dances on Bandstand and her family. They look at a lot of controversial issues at the time like racism and the Vietnam war. Oh yeah - NBC cancelled it and they didn't air/make[?] the last episodes of the season. Bitches.

I saw some of the first season when it aired here. So cute! I loved the bandstand stuff. God I hate it when networks do that. It's so mean, at least let them finish the story. Wasn't a certain stunt casting favourite skank on that show too?

Yeah it is really cute. It can be cheesy, but most of the time I think it's quite well done. Some of the war scenes are really upsetting, but without being daytime-movie-ish. Stupid networks. I don't remember any stunt casting skanks. But they do have a lot of musical guests, and I know the Duff sisters [also stunt cast a lot!] were in it.

It's the 60's - there has to be SOME cheese involved. I love war scenes when they're well done. Case in point: Band Of Brothers. Best. Miniseries. Ever. Stupid networks indeed. They're all asking for smacked bottoms. I was almost positive I heard PH played Barbara Eden in an episode of the show...Maybe I'm wrong? Was Mandy Moore in an episode too? I think I remember hearing that too.
The Duff sisters bother me. I saw an interview with them on TV once and they were trying to convince people they were 'normal teenagers'. It was just annoying.

Yeah. I kinda would've liked to live in the 60s for the fun, cheesy parts. I haven't seen Band of Brothers. I'm not really that much into war scenes, but if they're part of something else I can deal. I'd like to give them extra hard smacks. I do think that American Dreams would be expensive though. The music rights are probably more than VM's budget! Plus they have so many different sets and guest stars. Ooooh yeah P Skanky H was her! I don't remember Mandy Moore but I might be forgetting and/or haven't seen the episode. Duff sisters = I think Hilary has done well for herself but her sister trying to be famous too irritates me. I know it's not her sister's fault, but still... I don't like Hilary's music much but I suppose it could be worse.

I don't know if it's good or not nyla. I didn't pay that much attention to him. It is. I liked watching it every afternoon. I like Sam too.

The thing with Lawrence was i was expecting him to be all washed up and trying to recapture his youth. But no he played a good solid character.
I watched it on 7 and it played on Fox as well (one season behind).

That's good then. I don't have foxtel. And I missed a lot when it was on normal TV. I think I saw most of season 2 on Seven though.

I definitely recall the 7.30pm timeslot and the shitey promo for it (the great new show with all the stars) which makes me think ten, perhaps it was 7.30pm on 7 the 10.30pm.

used to this show - but 7 first showed it on friday nights, and i was always never home around that time, so i missed heaps of the eps.. its kinda cheesy, but its kinda cute aswell - i was suprised they axed the show - since it done really well ratings wise in the first season maybe it just lost its appeal after the second season and havin all those celebs on the show would cost them a fortune.. (duff sisters, ashanti, b2k etc.) joey really turned out great, but it was hard not seeing him go "WHOA" every now and then also brittany snow is really good on the eyes
