Yes, I haven't had enough conversions lately so you're all my targets. Since discussion of JM on another board has far too many s and not enough for the guitar... He is a great guitarist. And his pop songs lean more towards the meaningful side. Don't be put off by Your Body Is A Wonderland. If anyone is interested I can upload some of my favourite live versions of my favourite songs.

is okay, but...what's wrong with liking the music? Give me a few of your favourite songs and I'll find something for you. And say acoustic or electric if you want. A lot of his old shows were just acoustic.

Hmmm well I don't find him attractive, so [when I hear it] it will be all about the music for me. I've heard Your Body Is A Wonderland [which I hated to be honest], and some other one that my Mum loves, but I can't remember what it's called. I'm so weird. I remember the names of random 7 word songs by obscure artists but can't remember the name of a simple pop song that's been played on the radio a million times . I want to hear him though, I'm always open to trying new things.

Hee! Sometimes I think he looks attractive but other times? No. I'm influenced by the talent. When he plays guitar he does this weird screwy-uppy-face thing and it's just terrible. Your mum probably likes Clarity or Daughters? Or Bigger Than My Body or No Such Thing. Most of his song titles are just chorus words so that might jog your memory. I'll try and get a variety of songs together for you BC. Maybe I'll make a 'album' and a 'live' collection for you. Because some of his best work is live. For a seemingly pretty boy pop singer he kicks ass live.

I love live stuff...when it's good. So yeah, if you're up for that, then I am too! Just don't forget to make pretty covers... I'm thinking that song my Mum likes may be No Such Thing. That rings a little bell. This is from a couple of years ago though. It was played on the radio a lot. I'm sure he's attractive to some people, but he's not my type. Then again, my taste in males is a little left of centre sometimes.

I'll have to try to make pretty covers. No Such Thing! It's from 2002. I like the lyrics too. When I finished school I listened to like 20 different versions of it. Just because I could. Nothing wrong with being left of centre sometimes.

Awww, you don't have to make covers if you don't want to. I just like making them when i make CDs so I tend to expect everyone likes to. It just makes them look more 'complete' to me. I can make my own covers for them though if you'd prefer. I think it must have been No Such Thing then. The time sounds about right. Really catchy pop song if I recall. Well, I don't really have a choice about the left of centre thing. I'm attracted to who I'm attracted to! I just embrace my weirdness.

I'll think about the covers. No Such Thing lyrics: "Welcome to the real world", she said to me Condescendingly Take a seat Take your life Plot it out in black and white Well I never lived the dreams of the prom kings And the drama queens I'd like to think the best of me Is still hiding Up my sleeve
They love to tell you Stay inside the lines But something's better On the other side
I wanna run through the halls of my high school I wanna scream at the Top of my lungs I just found out there's no such thing as the real world Just a lie you've got to rise above
So the good boys and girls take the so called right track Faded white hats Grabbing credits Maybe transfers They read all the books but they can't find the answers And all of our parents They're getting older I wonder if they've wished for anything better While in their memories Tiny tragedies
They love to tell you Stay inside the lines But something's better On the other side
I wanna run through the halls of my high school I wanna scream at the Top of my lungs I just found out there's no such thing as the real world Just a lie you got to rise above
I am invincible(3x) As long as I'm alive
I wanna run through the halls of my high school I wanna scream at the Top of my lungs I just found out there's no such thing as the real world Just a lie you've got to rise above
I just can't wait 'till my 10 year reunion I'm gonna bust down the double doors And when I stand on these tables before you You will know what all this time was for
Yay. Weirdness is great.

I just gave myself a heart attack and then recovered myself again. I opened my Room For Squares case and the CD was missing. [I'm trying to think of songs for you BC] So I thought I must've put it in with my discman CDs. And I couldn't find it! So after spazzing out for five minutes and tearing my room apart I picked up a different CD thing and there it was...and underneath it was a CD I lost last year that is no longer in production that I was wanting to die because I lost. Lesson: don't take CDs out of their cases. Jack Johnson = meh.

With JM the appeal is in the personality and the incredible talent I also am not a big fan of body is a wonderland it's an odd song to me. I don't mind JJ either but I think thats only cos of his clip with Ben Stiller in it.

I'm not a JJ fan. An ex boyfriend of mine tried to get me into him but I just found him boring... [the boyfriend and the music]... I'm not a huge fan of that type of music anyway. Ben Harper [though hot] and Xavier Rudd [despite his awesome name] do nothing for me musically. I wouldn't have thought he and JM were comparable though? Nyla - sorry about the mouth comment, I couldn't help myself. I wouldn't make fun of you if I didn't like you. OMG mid - I'm glad you found the CD! I hate it when I lose CDs. I want my Aimee Mann Whatever album, so I can use it for your CD but it's gone forever and I can't download it anywhere!

YBIAW is like that one song of someone's that you just don't think fits with the others. I like its catchy-ness, but it's one of his weaker songs.
