Anyone else like Harry Potter? Only 10 days until the 6th book! I'm going to collect mine at 9am again. My brother is paying. Last time the line was quite short. And full of adults. My mum wants to dress up. Parents.

Yeah time flies. I'll have to get my glasses cleaning spray out. I finished the 5th book the night of getting it. My mum is just silly. She's never read the books, just seen the movies.

Hee! Yeah, I read the 5th book within a couple of days of getting it. Reading makes me tired. Can't wait for this one!!! @ your Mum. Mine loves the books more than the movies.

A few days is a good effort. Once I start reading something I don't like to stop. Except when it's an exceptionally long-chaptered book. I like short chapters so I get a 'mind break' otherwise I space out. I re-read all the others before OotP came out but I don't think I can be bothered re-reading anything before this one. I have TV to watch. My mum doesn't read much. She drives to work, otherwise she'd probably want to read on the train. I gave her PoA to read on a plane but she has a fear of flying and refused to read it.

Awww your poor mum. I don't like flying much either. I can't be arsed reading the others again yet. I love them, but it's too soon. Short chapters are good. So are short sentences. Tree pretty. Fire bad.

We've only flown twice. We're going away in September and I'm dreading the plane trip with her already. At least it's shorter this time. I just haven't been in a reading mood this year. I've got nice thick books waiting for me but I'm not interested. Short sentences can be good. I like to write in long ones though.

I go through reading stages too. This year hasn't been a reading year for me either. I think the last book I finished was The Da Vinci Code, and I hated it, so I think that may have put me off the whole concept for a while. Looking forward to Harry though!

Could The Da Vinci Code have been any worse? Ick. I'm hoping that Half-Blood Prince lives up to our expectations.

That sucks kristin. You'll have to make sure you don't see anyone who has finished reading it before you've finished...just in case. Last time I read the whole book in the one day because I was afraid that everyone at school would have read it and would spoil everything, but there was only three of us in my grade that had finished it.

I know that I'll have people walking through the store I work in reading it, or at least with it in their possesion... Thats so cute about reading it all in one day

I hate seeing people with something that you are waiting for/want! It was really irritating in the line last time, everyone else was walking past with fancy bags showing us their copy of the book and I got a different bag. My friend wanted me to go to the movies with her on Saturday morning but I didn't want to have the book and not be reading it. Unfortunately it'd be the perfect time to go because so many people would be off getting their books. So I'm just going to go do a little bit of shoe shopping and then come home and read it.

Okay I've finished reading the book. I won't post spoilers. It was good, I guess, but I'm not immediately impressed like I was with POA, and GOF and OOTP. It just makes me sad that fecking tools are reading spoilers before/instead of reading the book. Is that what our society has come to? You can't even spend a few hours reading something to enjoy it yourself, you have to have it all ruined for you?!

Harry Poopoohead more like it.
I tried reading the first one and i was so bored. I guess i'm not really into fantasy type books. Enid Blyton books the exception when i was little.

Awww. I suppose it's not everyone's thing. I'm not really into fantasy, but it's not like HP is believable either.

Hee! Poopoohead. I like HP. The third and fourth books are still the best though. The sixth was a bit...meh. I'm not into fantasy really either. I never could get into LotR. I like the occasional well written horror book though. I Am Legend was particularly good.

I read all five books, although I thought the last one was pertty lame and boring (don't hate me lol) , I guess I found it a bit childish because I got older or something...
