Okay, here we go.
Opening: interesting. I was really confused at first, what with all the whiteness and Meg and Veronica talking to someone offscreen [but it was quite obviously Duncan].
I loved the Sydney Bristow/Mary Lane
mesh top and attitude to match though.
The scene says a lot about how involved the Duncan/Meg relationship was. I always just assumed that it wasn't very serious, but Duncan is acting [and/or his subconscious is acting] like it was serious.
Veronica helping Logan, just like with his mother, is something that I really enjoyed.
There's just the right amount of snark and sincerity.
Also, I noticed a few songs from the soundtrack this week!
They haven't played a few of the ones that I love yet though.
This whole Meg letter...it's sort of interesting but then sort of not. I wonder how much it has to do with the bus crash or the mystery boyfriend.
Did Meg always have a wild side that people didn't know about, or did something else bring it on, or is the whole thing totally exaggerated?
It's obviously important to/shocking for Duncan...I wonder if we'll be seeing the demise of VD soon.
And...what happened with Kendall Donut?!
Weevil was really well used in this episode!
I like that he did more than show up for a few seconds.
The scene with the rich kid wanting coke was great. [So typical of an 09er to say that all the PCHers look the same
(even if they kinda do...)]
The Marcos thing. Where do we start?
I liked the stuff about him, but his parents were irritating.
I liked that Keith had something MotW-related to do though. Reminded me of when he kicked out Alicia's tennant.
I loved the face punch reference to WoCD
"Tell me you're 18" hick guy was both funny and GROSS!
['the obvious' comment got a
from me]
The River Stix scene was DISTURBING.
Really, that is so not PG it's not funny. It's not like it was ultra violent, but...creepy! You really feel for Veronica, she was so out of her depth. She's good with the quick thinking and the words, but doesn't have the strength to fight.
The plastic surgeon being 'a friend of the family'... also
!!!
I can't say that I can see where they're going with it but I love how everything is connected.
Also, I'm glad Logan came to save the day because otherwise who knows what diseases Veronica would be getting from that tattoo needle!
This Logan is the Logan that I love. Badass snarky violent big-mouthed ever-so-slightly-needy-and-he-shows-it Logan!
I love that they held off the credits until they were in the car too! It would've been totally distracting in the scene.
Typical that Big Dick gave Logan the gun.
But Logan sure does know how to use it, I wouldn't want to be on his bad side if he was pointing it at me [loaded].
I love that Marcos didn't speak so that no one would recognise his voice on the radio.
The MotW wasn't
gripping [but they often aren't], but there was still something about it that I liked.
And anything that brings back Mac is cool with me!
I loved the ambiguous 'jealous boyfriend' email. It was a nice red herring, and less predictable than what we sometimes get.
Keith making the tech support people cry =
The principal of Neptune High was kinda weird. I don't know how US schools work, but I just assumed we'd never see him because...he doesn't do anything anyway?
The Ahoy Mateys storyline is kinda cute. I like the 'burn book' of radio shows.
Nip/Schmuck!
Fisty McRapes-a-lot =
Villainous hand-wringing and maniacal laugh!
You'll huff and puff and burn my house down?
Nerdhunters! I love it.
Weevil's leadership issues are more interesting than they would have been in another episode.
I want to know who the rogue PCHer [or is there a few?!] is and why they're doing deals with the Fighting Fitzpatricks [the new FF!]. I'm hoping it's one of the mini-mysteries that is solved soon...but in theory it could stretch all the way to the end [I'm assuming Logan's case will be a plot point until near the end of the season]
Flash!biker!back showed Logan actually stabbing Felix. I wonder if it's objective truth or subjective-flashbackness a la ATTTD?
I'm thinking that he didn't stab to kill, it was just meant to stop Felix, but still...hmmm!
It was like before they were leading us to believe that Logan didn't stab him and it was some sort of set up, but you can't argue that now.
Mac pretending to be interested in Butters [hee] so that Van Clemmons [in a robe! double hee!] lets them in = HILARIOUS. Poor Butters, no friends.
Crabby hand signals = quadruple HEE!
"Your blankie's blinking" = too funny for any sort of hee-age.
Also? Butters blinks
way too much!!!
And it should've clued me in that Mr Carlos's dad was eeevil when he acted as though Veronica doesn't have mad crazy PI skillz!
Camp SelfQuest = creepy Christian degayification program = eeeeewwwwww!
The Logan abduction had me totally creeped out for a second, when I thought the FFs were back for another round.
But I realised it was Weevil's goons right after that.
It was still a good scene though! Seeing Logan all scared and...well, was he scared or was he just acting scared? We all know his theatrics tend to come out when he's under pressure.
The 'peoples court' thing is just so lame and yet so funny. So fitting that the PCHers would come up with it! They're not exactly the brightest bunch, as we know.
VERY well acted though!
Weeves!
Poor little gay Ryan.
But the back rub story...yeah, I'd probably be creeped out of I was Marcos's parents too!
The gay wannabe boyfriend being behind the pranks works a lot better than some evil kid though.
And Duncan? Is getting fat! [fatter?]
Sorry Teddy but I wouldn't want you rolling over on me.
I think that's all my thoughts for now.
I miss Wallace still, but it didn't kill me that he wasn't there. Everything happens for a reason, and all, so I just hope he brings us back some good stories!
