Anyone have any holidays planned? Real or imaginary? We're going to Queensland in September [yay ]. (I'm not allowed to go to Sea World. ) And next year we're thinking about going to Fiji. [I've been looking for accommodation online and it's freaking expensive though. I'm confused! ] And then in 2008 we're planning a trip to the UK/France/Singapore. I'm sooooo incredibly excited. So if anyone knows any good places to stay feel free to share.

Bwhaha imaginary, trust me you don't want me to share Yeah with Fiji everyone is like it's way cheaper than Vanuatu and other islands but all the research i've done doesn't indicate this Bummer about Seaworld! When I went to the goldcoast last year they had their hottest day since i think it was 1960 something it was so hot i'm NEVER going in Feb again! I think Sept should be alright. I went in I think March this year it was great weather was lovely, food was great. In october i'm going for a weekend away to the Hunter Valley (yep, i'm travelling all the way to the hunter 1.5hrs). I went to Melbourne in December last year it was ok. My friends and I are trying to plan another trip for November we want to goto Singapore or on a cruise (i've been on many so i'm gunning for singapore). It's really cheap on Zuji right now so i'm trying to get them to 'lock in' a decision by the end of the month. Never been to Europe i'm hoping to go at the end of next year though, when i finish uni (finally!) YAY!

Some people have odd ideas about what is cheap. I've been to the GC in September before and the weather was nice, so hopefully it's nice again. It would suck to be there on their hottest day. At least the humidity wouldn't be bad though. Hee! I've never been to the Hunter Valley, I don't think. I only know that it's north. I want to go to Melbourne. But then I don't want their snobby attitudes ruining my holiday! I'd like to go there and see The Lion King but I've already seen it. Singapore sounds great. Except it's meant to be really hot. I want to go to the zoo, it looks awesome. I think it'd be a nice place to go to for a little while, but I wouldn't want to be there for long. [And for me going overseas for less than a week would be a waste, I haven't got a passport so it'd be cheaper to go to somewhere in Aus ] I've always wanted go to Europe during uni holidays but I can see that I wouldn't have any money or anyone to go with so if I go with mum after I finish uni it'd be better than being poor and by myself.

That's true if it's voguettes they think $600+ is cheap for a particular brand of bag My idea of cheap is like $600 for the trip Are you going during your birthday midnight? (i need to know when to eat a cake on your behalf). GC weather sounds like it's always good. I hate sweating! So heat for me must be hot not humid which i think singapore is my mum has informed me i've been to singapore before (i seriously can't remember). I actually want to goto Dubbo Zoo I can't believe I haven't been before but I hear it good. Yes Europe is definately a place i'd like to goto during uni holidays but my concern is also money and i'm not the backpacking type. My uni has this program where you can go work for three months in US/UK/Europe and they pay $5000 towards your trip but I only found out about it this month and applications for this year have closed and I won't be eligible next year because i'm graduating at the end of next year and it's only for returning students oh well i'll probably work and save up and go later maybe in 2008 like you! We could meet up in France for Escargo!

Yeah. I don't really have a particular budget that I think in. I like my comforts so to me $1000 for 5 nights accommodation is cool, but in Fiji that gets you like nothing. I'm going just before my birthday. I hate sweating too. As if you can't remember! My mum's friend came back from there recently and was saying how awful the humidity is, and I was all "oh no!" but...hmmm. I want to go to Dubbo Zoo too! They have a package thing where you go and stay and all, but it's just getting there that's a hassle. It's not that difficult, but it still costs money. I'm so not the backpacking type! 4 star = absolute minimum. That uni thing sounds interesting. Working would be irritating though. Hee we can have a VM marathon in France and learn to say all the lines in French! We plan on going for a week, and then I know I'll want to go back there again because I'm in with the idea of France, rude people and all.

Yeah Fiji I think is a popular destination so it's expensive. But I guess it's cheaper than a LV bag Try Vanuatu I it there i've been twice. Ok Mid let me know when i can eat a cake in your honour (I need an excuse to buy a cake with happy birthday written on it!). For my friends graduation i got her a cake that said happy 80th and a card to match For some reason cakes with Happy birthday written on it tastes better I seriously can't remember my mums like we saw crocodiles etc i'm on a total blank. Maybe a short trip to Singapore I wonder if it's grossly humid all year round? Yes Dubbo's expensive considering the only attraction there would be the Zoo (i'm assuming). I really want to go but it was like last year my friends and I were trying to decide between Perth and Vanuatu and Vanuatu worked out cheaper it's craaazy! I wish holidaying in comfort was cheaper. I'm in with France just for the rude people! I think if someone was rude to me i'd laugh in their face because the language is so expressive! Yes i'd love to sing the theme song in French, Veronica would be Hot speaking French my plan would be to do as much of Europe as I can in 3months just like uni and maybe do temp work if i can get the right visa. But yeah working while on "holidays" would suck!

LV bag vs holiday...that is the question. My mum wants to go to Fiji. Maybe we'll go to Vanuatu another time. 24th of September shall be cake day. And you can eat cake for BC on the 23rd too. It's going to be a big cake week. [My dogs' birthday is on the 28th so we'll have a cake for them. ] Heeeee! Maybe there's a science behind the birthday cakes tasting better. Maybe you've just had so many other experiences that you don't remember. Or maybe you were brainwashed into thinking that you never went. There would be times when it is less humid, I would think, but it's probably always more humid than what we are used to. I don't think Dubbo is known for its nightlife. It's funny that Vanuatu is cheaper than Perth! I think Fiji will be cheaper than north Queensland for us. The key is to go somewhere with a bad(good?) exchange rate. I guess if holidays were cheaper no one would want to work. Word. I don't know how hard it is to go on a working holiday. I know someone who did one in England but her grandparents were British citizens so it was easier for her to get the visa. I wonder what sort of jobs they give you. Backpackers here get random dodgy jobs, or work at call centres. It sucks that Europe is so far away. My friend went on exchange to Hungary and she went to heaps of places because everything in Europe is squished together. You could pass through a few countries in a day. Australians just have no understanding of that concept. [I to use the face... ]

there are a shitload of inyou post it's as mesmerising as a lava lamp all laughing in union Figi it is then I'm sure that a travel agent would have good all inclusive deals they are probably harder to find on the net. Awaits the end of sept one of my BFF's birthday is on the 21st I cake cake cake to cake whoops I mean I look forward to the end of september! I'm sure if i did a scientific study 99% of candidates would agree that birthday cake is actually better tasting i'm sure Dubbo pub would be the highlight of any journey *Disclaimer* I made up Dubbo Pub. Yeah i can't believe we can travel overseas than to stay in Aust But I get what your saying the accom in Fiji maybe a bit expensive but it's offset by the low cost of tours and food or something along those lines. If i ended up picking british fruit or delivering british pizza's i'd be one unhappy tourist i'd like temp work I can do childcare as well but the british have cornered the market in nannying So i could probably see all of Europe in 3months I wish Australia would move a little bit closer to Europe it would be cheaper too.

! Yeah we'll probably go to a travel agent closer to when we're going to see if there's anything around. Hee! Yay Dubbo Pub It's really cheap to fly to Fiji. And New Zealand. From here. It's probably cheaper to go there than Perth too. British nannies are like...expected. Yeah let's move Australia up and over a bit.

Wow that's heaps! I would've thought that $500 return would be 'reasonable', but that's lots. Our flight back from the Gold Coast was only $30 each. We got it when they had their big sales [Virgin worked out $1 each cheaper so we're saving $2! ]. And our flight to Brisbane is Qantas and it was only $95 each. But I suppose you can't wait for sales forever. Yes, excellent idea. We'll send him some snickerdoodles too, for good measure.

Yeah I know! Next big sale I'm so getting tickets there and I'll stay one night or something. Although it costs $9 each way for me to catch the train to the airport. Now that there's Virgin and Jetstar the prices get really low because they know they have to compete. The sale tickets aren't at the best times, but cheap = good. Yes!

It costs $60 to get in to Sea World! I've only been there and Dreamworld. I hear Movie World is crap. Yeah it is. And I was looking up train fare to some places [like Dubbo], and with the cost of flying these days train trips seem to cost a fortune! I was like "I could fly to New Zealand for that much".

OMG!!! $60 big ones! I mean I Seaworld but I can't believe it's $60 I remember when wonderland went up to like $50 and it was the same shit as it had always been and trains aren't as nice a planes as well, not very satisfying! My friend wanted to get some old train from like Adelaide to Darwin or something it's meant to be classy but it was like in the 0000's range i'm like yeah right I could go to Europe for that!

I know! I wish there was student rates. I miss Wonderland. We drove past on the weekend and I was sad, there's a big factory next to the water slides. All those rides going to waste! If only I had a bigger backyard... Still, I hate how everyone always increases their costs. Yeah except there are a few cool trains. Like one in Alaska it has a glass roof and so you can see through it, that would be cool. And when/if we go to France we're going to catch the train from England to France, and it sounds cool. But apart from that trains are annoying. Is that train The Ghan? It looks all fancy but it costs hundreds for a seat! And if you want a cabin thing with a 'bed' [seat!] it's thousands.

yes they'd be huge cue at your front door if you had a few spare acre's out back! A factory how horrible (want to know a secret ... I worked one summer at wonderland it sucked major balls!) they had som many non-factory related plans for the place! I think it was the Ghan it was a while ago this friend like going on odd holidays that are way above my budget. I went to queensland for two weeks and it cost me under a grand thats the kind of trip i like going on!
