Following an emotional reunion with her mother, Veronica is hired to track down Neptune High's beloved mascot, Polly the Parrot, which was apparently kidnapped by a rival school on the eve of a big basketball game. Meanwhile, with her suspicions about the Kane family rekindled, Veronica attempts to gain access to her father's original interrogation tapes. Later, Veronica's relationship with Deputy Leo heats up, as does Meg's relationship with Duncan.

I just rewatched this ep. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it more the second time around. It really wasn't one of my favourite episodes of the season, but it does have its merits. I suppose that they had to get the Lianne arc in somehow. The basketball bit wasn't too overdone, which I like. I ed all of Betty and Veronica's outfits though! I kinda only realised just then that Logan wasn't there.

I really notice the Lack of Logan in this episode. It's one of the weaker eps anyway, but no Logan [especially after the huge focus on him in the previous ep] really stood out for me. Plus, I despise Lianne and whenever she's on screen I want to bash myself repeatedly over the head with a very large [and preferably very sharp] rock. I love Betty though. She cracks me up. "At my old school I was horny." And the BFF scenes are just the most precious thing ever!
